She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
Proverbs 31:25
Women's Ministry has two distinct branches in the MFBC Body: The Women's Missionary Union (WMU) is the outreach/missions arm, and Women's Ministry is the inreach/discipleship arm. Together, we exist to encourage, equip, promote, and challenge women in their journey as disciples of Jesus Christ and members of His Church and to bring women’s unique perspectives to the issues facing the Church.
WMU
The WMU’s five strategic principles of missions is a comprehensive approach to missions in the church. They are:
• Pray for and give to missions
• Do missions
• Learn about missions
• Develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle
• Participate in the work of the church and denomination
Our women integrate these principles into their group meetings, their seasonal studies on missions, their promotion of mission offerings, and their promotion of weeks of prayer. They also infuse a mission mindset into the lives of our children by leading preschoolers to be Mission Friends and young girls to be Girls in Action (GAs).

- Stitches of Love. Dir. Pat Hewitt. Meets 4th Monday @9:00 am at the Church Sewing Room.

Women's Ministry
Events for this group appear on the calendar as they get nearer. This ministry is a stage of expansion and includes or will include events such as Women of Joy Conference, Woman Church (held at Langston Baptist Church), Gaudy Galentine, Christmas progressive dinner & caroling, and many others.
Women’s Ministries is an inviting organization open to the needs of women. We focus on people and ministry rather than organizational structure. Each woman may choose to participate according to her needs, interests and gifts as she is led by the Spirit of God. We provide opportunities for each woman to become and develop as God’s person: deepening her faith, developing her gifts and becoming a more effective Christian disciple and steward. (Romans 12:1-2) And we provide opportunities for women to build God’s faith community: developing relationships and meeting the physical and spiritual needs of others in their homes and their communities. (Ephesians 4:25 and Luke 4:16-19)
