O.P.U.S. (Older People Up to Something) is a vibrant ministry dedicated to enriching the lives of our senior adults. We are committed to supporting both active and homebound individuals through engaging day trips, lively church activities, Bible study, and caring home visits, ensuring that everyone feels connected and valued. Join us in making a positive impact! 

THE MOUNTAIN TRIP

Every fall, our O.P.U.S. group embarks on an exciting 3-day adventure to the mountains to experience the breathtaking fall colors that showcase the beauty of God's creation. We've explored wonderful places like Boone, NC, Abingdon, VA, and even had a fun Mystery Trip (check out the picture)! It's always a memorable time filled with laughter and breathtaking scenery!
 

Day Trips 

We love going on day trips that are just a few hours away! Some of our favorite spots have been the Fruitcake Factory in Bear Creek, NC, the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC, the Christmas show at the Carolina Opry, and a lovely horse-drawn carriage ride through the historic district of Wilmington, NC (check out the picture!). And of course, we can’t forget to explore all the amazing restaurants along the way. It’s always a fun adventure!

 

Senior Adult Revival Celebration

The first Monday to Wednesday in May, we hold our annual Senior Adult Revival Celebration. All senior adults from the community are welcome to join us as we spend each morning worshiping together.
